Training Institute



Standard Bank Limited was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on 11 May, 1999 and started its function from3 June, 1999.

In the beginning, there was no Training Institute in the bank. But for development of human resource, there is no other alternative than training. Training increases knowledge, develops skill and brings change in attitude.

 

With this objective in view, the management of the bank, with kind approval of benign Board of Directors of the Bank, decided to establish a Training Institute. Accordingly, Standard Bank Training institute was established on 16 March, 2005 at its Head office, Metropolitan Chamber Building, 122-124,Motijheel C/A, Dhaka-1000. Later, the venue of the Institute was shifted at 28, Bengal Center ( 7th floor) , Topkhana Road, Dhaka -1000.

  • Goals and Objectives
    • Standard Bank Training Institute is engaged in preparing and implementing training plan of the bank. The institute is entrusted with the responsibility of formulating and designing course curricula, reading materials, course contents for imparting training to the officers of the bank. The institute imparts training through specific training schedule on overall banking and management for the purpose of enhancing professional efficiency of officers , managers and executives. In the same manner Induction and Foundation Training is important for promoting professional knowledge and skill of the new entrants. The institute also looks forward for arranging training workshops on Management Development Program, Managing Core Risks in Banking and other banking issues. The Institute also focuses on recent banking issues through seminar. To cope with the change and introduction of new tools and techniques for implementing of guidelines of Govt. and regulatory bodies and also for the purpose of reforms and modernization of the bank, Training Institute offers to stress on new concepts, teaching methods, course contents etc.

    • Area of the Training Institute is 5000 sft. (approx.) having 2(two) Classrooms, 1(one) Computer Lab, 1(one) Library, Principal’s Chamber, 2(two) Faculty Member’s Chamber, Office Space, Living Space, Kitchen, Dining Hall/Space.
